Appearance:
  • Size:
Maltipoos are small dogs, typically standing 8-14 inches tall and weighing 5-20 pounds.

  • Coat:
They often inherit a soft, curly coat, which can be wavy or straight depending on the parentage.

  • Colors:
Maltipoos come in a variety of colors, including white, brown, tan, and black, often with a mix of colors.

  • Temperament:
Maltipoos are known for being friendly, affectionate, and intelligent dogs.

Care:
  • Grooming:
Maltipoos require regular grooming to maintain their coat, which can include brushing, bathing, and occasional haircuts.

  • Exercise:
While they are small, Maltipoos still need daily exercise, such as walks and playtime, to stay healthy and happy.

  • Training:
They are generally easy to train and thrive on positive reinforcement.

  • Health:
Like all dogs, Maltipoos can be prone to certain health issues, such as dental problems and hip dysplasia, so regular veterinary checkups are important.

Before Bringing Home

Welcoming a Cavapoo into your family can be a joyful experience! To ensure a smooth transition for both you and your new furry friend, follow these essential tips:

1. Prepare Your Family

Before bringing your Cavapoo home, make sure everyone in your household is on board with the adoption. Discuss responsibilities, boundaries, and expectations to create a harmonious environment. This will help your Cavapoo feel secure and loved.

2. Check Your Home

Cavapoos are curious and playful, so it’s crucial to puppy-proof your home. Secure toxic substances, electrical cords, and fragile items. Create a safe space for your Cavapoo to play, sleep, and relax.

3. Be Patient

Adopting a new pet takes time, effort, and patience. Allow your Cavapoo to adjust to their new surroundings, and don’t rush the bonding process. Give them space to explore, learn, and grow.

4. Take It Slow and Steady

Introduce your Cavapoo to new environments, people, and experiences gradually. This will help prevent overwhelming and stress. Take things at your Cavapoo’s pace, and celebrate small victories along the way.

5. Enjoy the Love

Cavapoos are known for their affectionate nature! Cherish the moments, snuggles, and playtime with your new furry friend. Enjoy the journey, and remember that your love and care will shape your Cavapoo’s life.

By following these tips, you’ll be well-prepared to welcome a loving Cavapoo into your family. Happy adopting!
